Introducing ....Dashwood Studios

Some of the most popular fabrics on the Sew Scrumptious website over the last few months have actually been designed in the UK and manufactured by the fantastic Dashwood Studio. As most of the fabrics I sell are sourced from the US, to find a British company championing the talents of UK designers and selling the quirky fabrics I love is absolutely brilliant.

David Sweet is the creative force behind Dashwood. He has more than 15 years in the business working in the highly competitive US and European markets and is passionate about supporting homegrown talent and putting Britain on the fabric map. David very kindly allowed  me to share some of the behind the scenes photos from Dashwood Studio showing some of their gorgeous fabric collections.

Dashwood designers include:

Phyllida Coroneo - the designer behind the first Dashwood Studio collection, Enchanted Forest.

Wendy Kendall - a Manchester-based surface pattern designer who designed the very popular Petite Street collection

Bethan Janine - who designed the new Wildwood collection which has been hugely popular on the Sew Scrumptious website

We also LOVE the collection of novelty fabrics including the ever popular Dinosaur and Tortoise fabrics.

Below is a selection of the Dashwood Studio fabrics available on the Sew Scrumptious website.

  1. Petit Street is my favourite fabric line at the mo! Came across it by accident a few days ago and had to buy a FQ bundle! LOVE IT!

  2. I have some Petit Street FQs, but I didn't realise they were from a UK company. It was very interesting to learn more about the companies/designers behind the fabric.
